Middle School Health Curriculum Summary

Dear Parents/Guardians:
Our Middle School Health Curriculum was approved by the Board of Education after a rigorous review process. The revised curriculum is aligned to the 2004 revised New Jersey Core Content Standards.
Enclosed is a list of topics that will be covered in the Health course of study. The entire Middle School Health Curriculum is posted on the district web site for your convenience. If you have any concerns or need additional information, please do not hesitate to call the Office of the Supervisors.
Parents/guardians have the option to have their child excused from any part of the instruction in health, family life education or sex education with no penalty if the content is in conflict with their conscience, or sincerely held moral or religious beliefs.
Should you desire to have your child excused from any part of the health curriculum please notify the principal of the school in writing. If you have any questions concerning the curriculum or the opt out portion of the curriculum please do not hesitate to call me.
